In the wake of the pandemic, the lens through which I view the world has been profoundly shaped by the experiences of the past few years. The tumultuous journey began in 2020, marked by lockdowns that forced many indoors, including myself. It was during this time that I discovered the true value of the great outdoors, where nature offered solace and inspiration amidst the uncertainty.

As I navigated through the ups and downs of life—including welcoming the birth of my only child—I found myself at a crossroads. A major career change and a subsequent move to a new state felt like a leap into the unknown. Yet, through all the shifts, the one constant that has remained is my unwavering love for capturing the beauty of the natural world around me.

Portrait of a Still World is a collection that represents this transformative journey. It captures the diverse landscapes of the Northeast United States, showcasing the effects of seasonal change on the scenery. The theme of contrasting color temperatures speaks to my personal evolution—reflecting both the nostalgia of my past life and the warmth of the new beginnings that lie ahead.
